61 Year Old Woman Charged with DUI after Crashing into Police Car

In Hudson, Florida, a woman from Pasco County was charged with driving under the influence after she crashed into a deputy's patrol car.

The Florida Highway Patrol says that 61-year-old Lorraine Leverone-Pothier rear ended the officer's cruiser on Monday while the vehicle was stopped in traffic.  As a result, the vehicle rolled forward and hit a car in front of it.

The deputy inside of the car was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for minor injuries.  State troopers report that Pothier seemed lethargic and had a blank stare so they asked her to perform a field sobriety test, which she failed.

Pothier was placed under arrest and charged with DUI and DUI with property damage.  Then, she was held on $500 bail.
