DUI Accident Leaves One Brother Dead and Another Injured

On Tuesday morning, a serious accident on Interstate 680 left one brother dead and another brother seriously injured.  According to California Highway Patrol Officer, Steve Creel, one brother’s truck struck another car and flipped over, resulting in a fatal DUI accident.

Creel said that 53 year old Timothy Bartlet had been driving the truck and Bartlet, “had very minor injuries and was determined to be driving under the influence at the time of the collision.”

According to Creel, Barlet drove toward the median, lost control of his vehicle and then flipped over.  Both vehicles were out of control, leaving one brother to be ejected from one of the trucks.  That brother was later pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

Bartlet was later arrested for felony DUI after officers smelled alcohol on his breath and he failed field sobriety tests.

Being charged with Orange County DUI can be an intimidating experience.  For this reason, it is always in people’s best interests to obtain the services of a DUI lawyer when facing criminal charges.
