Man Found Not Guilty in DUI Manslaughter Retrial

A man who was accused of DUI manslaughter for a 2007 accident was found not guilty in a retrial. Nicholas Chesser was convicted of two counts of DUI manslaughter, but then this ruling was overturned. The appeal of the ruling was because of the misinterpretation of the word "throwd." A witness to the accident heard Chesser say he "was throwed" which she believed was slang for drunk. However, there was no proof of alcohol in his system. While he did have Xanax in his system, it was a medicinal dose and there is no proof he was impaired.
