California Officers to Crack Down on Drunk Drivers

As the summer draws to an end, police department across California are gearing up for the last hoorah drunk drivers that are expected to hit the roads.

The California Highway Patrol will be assisting the Blythe Police Department this weekend as they conduct a checkpoint from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Officers will be checking driver's licenses as well as driver sobriety in an effort to crack down on drunk drivers, as well as those driving with license violations.

The city of Blythe has recently experienced an increase in DUI arrests and DUI-related accidents, which has caused concern amongst residents of the city.  Any drivers that are found to be intoxicated will be arrested on the spot. Those that have driving violations will either be given citations or arrested, and will be subject to towing fees. While officers want to enforce safe driving practices, they also want to reduce the incidence of DUI accidents.

If you have recently been arrested for DUI, there is no time to wait to enlist the help and services of a DUI attorney in your city of residence.
