Driver Hits Police Car While DUI

While you never want to get into a car accident, you certainly do not want to wreck a police car. One man did that and much more when he decided to get behind the wheel drunk last week.

According to the police report, the 33-year-old man was driving his minivan on a major highway when he ran into a parked patrol vehicle. There were two officers inside the vehicle and another outside, all of whom were mildly injured in the DUI accident. When the officers got out of the vehicle to check on the driver, they discovered that he was definitely under the influence of alcohol.

He was taken into custody on a charge of DUI. This is not the driver's first arrest, however, as he was taken into custody nearly 12 years ago on similar charges as well as being under the influence of narcotics.
