Law Enforcement Officer Stopped for DUI

Another law enforcement official finds himself on the wrong side of the bars this week, this time for driving under the influence.

According to multiple sources, the 26-year-old officer, who has not yet been identified, was off-duty when he was arrested during a routine traffic stop. The arresting officers quickly determined that he was intoxicated, and was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI. However, these sources reveal that he was never actually booked, but cited and released instead.

In response to multiple queries, the sheriff's department issued a press release regarding the officer's arrest. The department will be opening up an official internal investigation to determine the fate of the arrested deputy.
