Six Arrested for DUI at Checkpoint

Police reports show that of the 300 cars that were screened at a DUI checkpoint at Third and Coombs streets, just six were arrested for DUI.

A press release issued by the Napa Police Department stated the intent of the department to remove drivers from the road who are operating vehicles under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. In addition to the six DUI arrests, seven suspended or unlicensed drivers were given tickets, three more drivers were arrested for various criminal charges and one car was impounded for a period of one month.

This checkpoint, like others conducted in the area, was sponsored by a grant from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration via the California Office of Traffic Safety.

No matter what state you live in, DUI arrests are no joke. If you have recently been arrested for a DUI, call a DUI attorney now to discuss your case.
