Pedestrian Victim of Vehicular Manslaughter

A man lost his life in Jacksonville Beach last week in a pedestrian accident. Police are still investigating the accident and have yet to release the identity of the victim. According to the police report, the victim was attempting to cross the street around 3 a.m. when he was struck by a vehicle. Police were able to detain the driver and arrest him on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter. At this time, local police are not releasing additional information about the pedestrian accident.

It is known that this was the second pedestrian accident to take place within a few hours. In another section of the city, a couple was struck by a vehicle while crossing the road. Both victims are reported to have sustained minor injuries. If you have recently been arrested for vehicular manslaughter, know that if you are convicted you could be sentenced with time in jail. For this reason, you'll want to hire a DUI attorney that can help you fight your charges.
