Police Arrest Woman for Driving Down Highway Wrong Way

One woman is lucky to have not been injured, or to have injured anyone else, after driving the wrong way down a busy highway. Police have confirmed that she was under the influence of drugs when she narrowly escaped causing a serious accident. The police department received several phone calls last week from concerned motorists on the highway. They told about a woman driving the wrong way in the southbound lanes, sometimes reaching speeds up to 100 MPH. When police finally pulled her over last week in Olympia, she appeared to be under the influence. Her blood work revealed that she had a blood alcohol level of 0.12 percent as well as oxycodone in her system.

Since then, she has pleaded not guilty to the charges of DUI of alcohol and DUI of drugs. The suspect is a retired school teacher and it is unknown whether she has sought representation yet. If you have recently been arrested for DUI of drugs, you need to seek legal counsel immediately from an experienced DUI lawyer in your city.
