Lindsay Lohan Settles with Passengers from 2007 DUI Ride

Lindsay Lohan seems to always be in trouble with the law, but she has finally reconciled with the three passengers that gave her grief after they rode along with her to and from a party. The three men were in the car when Lohan drove off, trailing her assistant, in a wild ride that cost her second DUI. The passengers decided to sue her for the dangerous ride, and they have recently come to a settlement. According to Entertainment Today the amount of money that each passenger received will not be released. While the details of the settlement will remain private, Lohan’s lawyer says that the parties reached an agreeable amount far ahead of the scheduled trial date and they will not be dismissed from the court.

The three men sued Lohan on the grounds of false imprisonment, intentional infliction, negligence, and assault and battery. The attorney who represented the three plaintiffs told E! News that they are satisfied and happy that the lawsuit has been resolved. The clients believed that the entire settlement was necessary because they were unjustly included in a case that was truly all Lohan’s fault. Lohan also had to settle another lawsuit last year brought by Tracie Rice, who was the passenger in her assistant’s car, which she was trailing.

Lohan’s probation for her second and first DUIs is finally complete, after she testified for a plea bargain in court and was issued a sentence of community service and probation.
