Sheriff’s Deputy Arrested for DUI in Lake County

Last week Tuesday, it is reported that a Lake County sheriff's deputy was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI).  The deputy was arrested by law enforcement officers after he crashed his vehicle into a patrol car.  Officers say that Deputy Bryan Smith was under the influence of prescription drugs at the time of the accident.

According to California Highway Patrol (CHP) officials, Smith crashed into a parked car in the town of Hidden Valley Lake while he was on duty.  Thankfully, no one suffered any injuries during the DUI accident.

At the time of the accident, Smith had just begun his shift and was responding to a call.  The 33 year old was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence.

CHP officials are still conducting investigations and Smith has currently on leave from his job as a sheriff's deputy for the time being.

Charged with DUI?  If so, now is the time to secure representation from a DUI defense attorney!
