San Clemente High School's PTSA Holds Underage Drinking Program

In order to educate both students and parents of the dangers of underage DUIs, the San Clemente High School's PTSA will hold a two-part program next week.

Starting 8 a.m. Wednesday, Orange County Superior Court Judge Kim Menninger will host a student assembly. To present the realities of underage DUI to the students, a real court session and sentencing will be held. After the hearing, students will be given the chance to ask questions and discuss the consequences of driving under the influence. In addition, JourneySafe will show a video about the death of Gillan Sabet.

Later that day, at 6:30 p.m., Orange County deputy district attorney Susan Price, will lead a meeting for parents. She will discuss the consequences most commonly experienced by those who are arrested for a teenage DUI or DUI-related crash. The consequences of adults hosting an underage-drinking party will also be discussed.

If you've been charged with DUI, it is important that you consult with a DUI lawyer near you.
