18-Year-Old Causes DUI Accident

Several teenagers were lucky to walk away from a car accident that could have proven to be fatal. They were struck from behind by an intoxicated woman last Sunday in Foothill Farms. According to the police report, K.B., 26, was approaching a red light in her SUV when she failed to stop. She struck a vehicle attempting to make a left turn with the light. The vehicle was driven by an 18-year-old girl and was carrying three more teenagers. Two of the victims were not wearing their seatbelts and were thrown from the vehicle in the impact. The teens suffered minor to major injuries, all of which were treated at area hospitals.

Although police are not releasing all the details of the accident, it is known that the driver's blood-alcohol level was above the legal limit. She has since been charged with felony drunk driving and causing an accident. If you are facing DUI charges and want to avoid conviction, now is the right time to get a DUI lawyer involved in your case!
