DUI Suspect High Fives Arresting Officer

A police officer in the state of Pennsylvania received a high-five right before he arrested a driver. The young man was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence last week in Tyrone. The young man, 27-year-old G.D., was driving at night without his lights on. He passed a police cruiser who pulled him over to give him a warning. However, the officer became suspicious when the driver was cheery enough to high-five him for reminding him to turn on his lights.

The officer conducted a field sobriety test which the driver failed. In addition to failing the test, the man's Breathalyzer results showed him having a blood alcohol level almost 2.5 times the legal limit. When you are arrested for driving under the influence, you could be facing serious criminal charges depending on state and local laws. Therefore, you'll want to hire a DUI attorney in your area that is committed to helping you contest your charges.
