Millionaire Heir May Have To Spend Years In Jail For DUI Accident

The heir to a multi-million dollar fortune could spend years behind bars for a drunk driving accident that he caused. John Goodman starts his trial this week in Florida which will determine his fate. Goodman, the founder of the Palm Beach International Polo Club, faces multiple charges including leaving the scene of an accident and vehicular manslaughter. He has been accused of hitting a car driven by 23-year-old S.W., forcing it off the road and into a ditch. By the time that police found the victim, he had drowned due to being trapped in his vehicle by his car seat.

As for Goodman, he left the scene of the DUI accident without checking on the victim. When police went to question Goodman, at least three hours after the accident took place, his blood-alcohol level was still over twice the legal limit. In an attempt to safeguard his assets, Goodman recently adopted his girlfriend, a move that has reportedly angered his own children. Are you facing serious DUI charges?
