“Real World” Star Arrested for DUI

David Rainy, better known as Puck from season 3 of MTV's the "Real World," has been arrested on DUI charges following a serious accident in San Diego County.

According to California Highway Patrol Officer Brian Pennings, Rainey was driving under the influence when he veered off the road and rolled down an embankment. Also in the vehicle at the time of the accident was Rainey's 8-year-old son, Bogart. After the accident Rainey was pinned in the vehicle, but his son was able to free himself and flag down help.

Both Rainey and his son were flown to a nearby hospital, where it was discovered Rainey had sustained serious injuries. Bogart was examined and then released to his mother.

In connection with the accident Rainey will face several charges, including DUI, child endangerment, and driving without a license.

DUI charges are serious in and of themselves. But when adults drive drunk with children in the vehicle, they could face a significant enhancement in their penalties and charges. In some states, driving under the influence with a minor in the vehicle is an automatic felony, an offense that can result in prison sentences and thousands of dollars in fines.

If you have been arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, especially if a minor was in your vehicle, it's important to contact a DUI defense lawyer right away. A skilled DUI attorney will know the best way to address your charges and can provide you with the aggressive representation you need to increase your chances of resolving your case successfully.
