DUI Accident Leads to Felony Charges and Injuries

Recently, officers with the California Highway Patrol arrested a local man after his truck crashed into a tree off of a state highway.  Unfortunately, the DUI accident resulted in the man's passenger suffering serious injuries.

Police say that the 52-year-old DUI offender was heading northbound when the collision took place.  His passenger, a 39-year-old female, was sitting in the front seat of the truck.  Allegedly, the man was so intoxicated that he allowed his truck to run off of the road while attempting to negotiate a curb.  While traveling off of the road, the truck hit a large tree, causing the passenger to sustain injuries.

Following the accident, the passenger was transported to an area hospital for treatment.  Officers than arrested the man on felony DUI charges and booked him into jail.

If you plan to contest your serious DUI charges, you should obtain the services of a local DUI attorney as soon as possible.
