District Attorney in Colorado Arrested for DUI

A deputy 4th Judicial District attorney in Colorado has been suspended with pay following her arrest for driving under the influence.

Sebasti Emma Adams was arrested on Saturday after she hit a curb hard enough to disable the vehicle. No one was injured in the accident and no other vehicles were involved.

Adams failed a field sobriety test and later underwent a blood test, the results of which are still being processed.

Adams was taken into police custody on suspicion of drunk driving, careless driving, and failing to provide proof of insurance.  She was ticketed and released.

Adams' case is expected to be handled like any other DUI case, and Adams did not ask or try to seek any special treatment. Fourth Judicial District Attorney Dan May said Adams did request a special prosecutor to handle the case.

According to May, Adams will remain on suspension with pay pending the outcome of the investigation.
